Estrogen hormone is responsible for many processes in a woman's body. What will it affect, and what happens when is it too high, if its levels drop? Estrogen is produced by the ovaries and is responsible for many processes in a woman's body.

Excess estrogen is not common, but high levels of estrogen can lead to:

  • High blood pressure
  • Decreased magnesium and zinc values
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Pain
  • Swelling
  • Inflammation
  • Endometriosis
  • Fibrocystic breast disease
  • Endometrial and breast cancer

Estrogen levels begin to decline after age 40, just before menopause, causing:

  • Headaches and heartaches
  • Deterioration of thermoregulation
  • Fragility of bones
  • Vasoconstriction
  • Aging of the skin
  • Fluctuations in the emotional background
